100+ Watchers O.O!?

First, This icon here is Saruhasu's original character. I loved it so much I made an icon of it x__x. I hope nobody minds x__x.

I decided to do something special for the 100th person that was going to watch me. I really wanted to surprise someone with a gift. SaruHasu was my 100th watcher!

I like to think of them more as friends though. They are all great artists and really kind too. I feel so happy and fortunate to be making a lot of friends lately x__x.

I've decided to try harder on my artwork. This tranlates to me coloring my artwork(and FINISHING IT). I don't do it often..well..I do but I never finish it XD, something else of interest always pops up XD haha,...yeah..gonna try and be more 'one track minded' or however that goes >.>;

So, I'm back at working on the website 'YumeHime' for my hats. It's nothing special right now x__x. It took me an hour just to find the coding online to insert music on the page! Ugh! The design is really simplistic but right now I'm more focused on actually publishing the website then the design of it all.
So the first 'premier' of the website won't be anything special. Except for the index page. I prettied that up I think X). Rather then that I'm not too happy with it but there is only so much I can do with the lack of knowledge I have in HTML coding x__x.

Things that still need work:
Store page: resize hat sprites create table for them
Gallery: Add some photos for people to look at x__x
Design/find layout for joint webpage(manga/art)
Start working on 'Judicial' Manga for joint part of website
color judicial artwork that is uncolored x__x

Uwah! The Time!!

I woke up at 1:40 this morning x__x. Not what I had planned.
I wanted to leave the dorms at 11:30-12:00 to go to the college early. aggghhh. The neighbors next door to me woke Zimmie and I up at 8:00 in the morning and I couldn't go to sleep for an hour but I was determined to get my 8 hours or so of sleep so I went back to bed instead of playing it safe and getting up >.>;.

Ah well...

So I'm going to the college today to shoot my first animate. A CLOCK!!
I colored it and everything! It's pretty but it has flaws. I'm pretty sure the pendulum's timing is off but I don't have the time to fix it..maybe I can disclude a frame or too..hm..that might actually work x__x!

I made the face of the clock a fish bowl with two Koi fish in it, the only problem is the fish don't move XD. I hadn't originally intended for the clock face to be a fish bowl with fish so..yeah.. ah well..I suppose I could animate the little guys..but alas..time..
Next time I'm gonna watch out for little things like that *__*!

First original animation! It's dorky but I'm excited to see how it will come out XP!

I also ordered copic markers last night. Ugh, man are those things expensive! How do artists manage!? I want all the colors but that 72 set..would eat my pockets for money alive XD
Ah well, over time..I'll get them all *__*! Yush!

Artsie Art Days

ZOMG, College is going by so fast it seems! One minute it's the first week of the 2nd Semester, the next it's the 2nd week. It really did go by quick @_@! Maybe it's because I'm drawing more then usual? I'll never know .__.

I'm one of the only ones(beside Sora) that really likes our Life Drawing class. We drew from a female model on Tuesday. I thought it was so much fun! I was really looking forward to drawing from a model. I know there's always room for improvement and that my anatomy needs work(especially since I don't have a knowledge of muscle structure(haha, I guess X) ).
Honestly, I was very nervous at first. I was afraid(since I draw anime so often) that I wouldn't be able to pick up on drawing the human figure, but it turned out, drawing those shapes to build my anime characters is used in life drawing as well. HAHA! I win! Or..well, I'm just relieved.
As wierd as it may sound to some people, I really enjoyed drawing people(naked mind you). I don't understand why some people get paranoid when the model stares at you or makes eye contact either :/.

Topic change

Sora and I had a tutorial session. I wanted to draw dragons, and she wanted to know how I drew females and dresses.
I can't speak for Sora, but she's the only talented artist at my age that I know in real life. I feel she is my equal and often times better then me but I never let that get me down because we each have our strong points(and I've disposed of the emotion "jealousy"). So I was feeling honored and shocked that she wanted to know so badly. She doesn't draw females often so when she asked me "You have to show me how you draw females" it didn't surprise me and I was glad to show her, and I hope I helped her as she did me. But drawing folds in dresses and stuff? This we came to a debate on, because I like the way she draws dresses and she likes my way of drawing dresses. It was funny XD. I showed her and explained best I could anways. She may think I draw dresses good but she knows how to draw wrinkles in clothing(x__x <3).
So then we got to her teaching me to draw dragons. Wow, I feel I got a lot out of that. I could tell that she had done a lot of research to to understand how to draw dragons. They may be mythilogical creatures but they still have similiar structures to other creatures(dinosaurs perhaps?) that is good to know. After drawing some dragons with her I really wanted to study dinosaurs and draw them x__x <3 XD!

On a somewhat different note, I think Zimmie is improving but still at a slow pace. Unlike me though Zimmie doesn't draw with Sora and I. I think drawing next to/with another skilled artist helps bring out skills of your own and/or learn from what you see your friend drawing and how they draw it. I was never really aware of how much the improving of her art and my serious critiques meant to her either. I feel bad for not asking her to draw with us(even if she was roleplaying, playing games, etc). I think...I really want to see her art improve. I want to help her with her art. I don't want to become a person who looks down on artists but helps them and gives them the nourishments they need.

Plus, since we are all in the field of animation, it's good we be near the same levels in skill. We could work on animations/stories together

Artistic Roller Coaster

So, when I first got to Maine for the beginning of my vacation I was on a drawing high.
I set out and inked all the panels for what thumbnails I had for manga stories, and a couple random character designs.

After that I went into an artists drought. I didn't feel like drawing at all and didn't do so for about a week I think.(UGH).
I hated it but it was like a barrier. I keep walking into it. I know it's there but I can't see it so I can't do anything about it except wait or hope/find something to be inspired by x__x.

Haha! I found my inspiration though! I was browsing around DA and came upon one of my gods TOO who does a lot of copic marker art. I've had my copic markers for almost 2 years but haven't even been coloring with them for that long. So I've had to self teach myself :| . I look to Too for inspiration and for some reason her art that day was..godly(I look at it now and just feel a little insignificant). There was no feeling of lowliness, just breathless. I think, to color that good with copic markers is very skillfull. I hope to be as skillful oneday.

But yeah..I got back into my drawing groove. I started out drawing final character designs for 'IF ONLY' and a couple for 'Judicial'.

and BLARG!! The story of Judicial is complicating itself! XoX. I've found many conflicts etc while planning it out but have worked out the major kinks. I have a lot of high hopes for this manga. I hope that people will enjoy it a lot as much as I do as I think it's "unique" XP.

I also go 16 thumbnails for OTHER manga's done.

I'm happy.

I'm productive.

Because I want to be successful x__x;

2 Fire Alarms in a row at 2 AM in the morning... SUX

Alright...so, I'm going to cook 2 pita pocket things and right before I close the microwave door the fire alarm goes off.
Why?
Hell, I don't know, no one else does, no one will tell you if you DO know.
THe only person who DOES know is the person who pulled it!!

Everyone had to wait outside for 30 minutes. I'm in shorts because my room gets toasty.

So, eventually were allowed back in and not even 20 FUCKING minutes it goes off again. I mean...WTF!?

So we had to go outside...AGAIN. 15 minutes later they let us back in, but this time, this is the good part...the cop says to us as we walk in "Thank the person who decided to pull the alarm cause they're going to be on all night"

So yeah..thanks...I don't have finals or anything tommorrow and I was going to stay up late anyways but...other people have finals and homework to do. Thanks.

I mean...seriously...what brings people to do these things? It's not funny! They have to stand out in the cold too so why would they!? What the hell is in it for them? I mean..that's low...low AND sick.

...Has turned out to be great!
CJ invited me over for a cookie baking partay so there I was, in Rhode Island of all places!
We went to the Providence mall: "Omg it's HUGE!"
at Sony store: "I wonder if they have the Wii :o"
CJ spotted an adorably cute lolita-ish dress that I just had to buy(it was only $25!) which I'll end up using for Lenali for the ball X3.
It was fun period. I also made special cookies for people 8) meh heh heh heh.

And to keep up with the fact that this is my 'manga' journal also..I've decided(after much talking and considerations with CJ) to redraw the 'PCM Manga'.
I have plenty of great reasons to do so:

1)My art style has changed
2)I have a more expansive knowledge on what I'm doing it
3)new and better inking/toning techniques

The list goes on. Luckily I don't have a lot TO redraw, har har har har. Urg, stupid college(taking away all my lovely free art time :0!)

Well, I've read what she's written so far from the roleplay and even though it's not extremely intricate ..oddly enough...the way she writes...I can easily imagine how it would be drawn out on the pages :D!! The writing is blunt but not so blunt as I don't understand what's going on the whole time but so that I recieve a clearer image of what is going on around everybody.

Now I just have to get started on the actual pages. Mrar, I ..oh shit...I'm pretty sure I designed a cover..oh I remember now((forgot about the cover designs)) nevermind ^-^;;;...

Anways, now I just have to draw it. Once I get an hour or two I can start on the first couple of pages. If I don't have motivation I'll just read 'Dramacon' volume 2 because damn does that manga give me inspiration and motivation. My god, love that manga-ka to death!

My only concern how Zimmie will like the idea of my side stories being added. It shouldn't be a problem, but, hell, you never know o~o!

Originally, what we have, Zimmie is introduced first then Cloe, but after reading it over and thinking of the sudden introduction of characters I realized I would need to add a short brief introduction that's vague including cloe and partly Kalou so the readers would be able to follow their story more thoroughly as well.

jeez, manga stories such as these are so complicated X~X, so much intricacy. If we screw up I'll have to redraw the part where we mess up. Not that it is bad just that it'll be a waste of time. having a different version(the mess up XD) would be memorable but I want to avoid it at best :nod nod:

Well, I'm aiming to post 'IF ONLY' (one chapter at least) online on the 28 of FEBUARY 2007 so be sure to check back here.

I might post it on DA as a preview but will hopefully have a website up by then for the manga.

My enthusiasm to work on my different manga stories has been on a high lately, especially I had a talk with Sora about all of our different stories. It made me miss all of them, all the ones I was putting on hold for 'IF ONLY'.
Speaking of 'IF ONLY' I've been stressing a lot about it. Again with the teamwork issue. I'm having difficulty coping with the change of personality in my partner. I don't enjoy sharing. I can't find a way to appease us both really. Personally I'd like to draw out the whole thing. I believe in my drawing ability more then hers. I preferably prefer me to draw the manga out. It's not just about our styles but attention to detail, knowledge, and creativity. I really don't think it can be drawn efficiently by two people. I honestly don't see it working out. I have one solution in mind but it's one I'd rather not resort too.

That option is that we discontinue working together on 'IF ONLY' and work seperately but continue in communicating to find out accurate information keeping true to each character's personalities. There are many advantages and disadvantages to this method. I'm still contimplating because I don't want a bad result from any of this.
I will try working with Zimmie till the very end to know whether it'll work out or not.

On a different note 'The Cute, The Hot, and The Scary' has been renamed to 'HOA'; 'House of Adjectives'. I prefer this title much more. Plus, I found out recently that there is a title similiar to the one I had that is an actual manga. Bastards.
'HOA''s gotten a lot of development and attention lately after I reminisced in the first couple of pages of the manga, in which my friends; Sora, Gamble, and Spooks provided amazing ideas, characters, and plots. Most gracious, much credit will be given x__x

Well, all the other's have been at a stand still besides 'Selah'(a story I created with my little sister Amanda).
yeah, random manga pages are fun :P

Teamwork on Manga

I've always sorta thought of working on manga together fun.
It's hard when people think you WANT to do more work though. Like in doing more work your claiming more credit, but it doesn't make sense to constantly pass the work back and forth just because someone else wants to do a certain task.

It doesn't make sense to pass it back to someone who just worked on it simply because he/she wants to do the bubble dialogue when it's much easier to go ahead and do it when you have better resources AND the work.

Of course, if you have issues with the person already it automatically creates tension.

"Lolita Princess", "Poser", & "Poser Princess"

Yesterday, while attempting to write my History research paper I ended up taking a "short" break and doodled down a couple characters. I've been itching to draw and I've been dying to draw a cute girl with super curly hair with a lolita complex. Haha, well, I suceeded in that. She's so cute. I wrote "Lolita Princess", imagining her as a Lolita idol among people she runs into in life....
hmm...

So I went back to my work but I couldn't stop thinking about the character.
This is when I begin to space out XD.

I've decided to make a manga for it. Err..damn.. ANOTHER ONE!! WHAT is wrong with me!!
Before I give the description I'm going to explain "Poser" and "Poser Princess" because they both coincide with "Lolita Princess". Wait..nevermind..I'm just gonna give teh description of all of them first XD((why do I make things so complicated?))

"Lolita Princess"- A teenager in highschool, the young girl(not named >.>; yet) is suffocated from the expectations from surrounding students of the "perfect" image. The girl, as well as a small handful of other students find that they cannot act as their 'true' selves, or they will be "cast out of society"(for teenagers, school IS society ;)) Many of the students find themselves constantly wearing a mask, playing a false identity in order to protect themselves.
As an outlet, the young girl flits about town "public cosplay" as some people label it in her town, wearing the glamorously adorable outfits hidden away in her wardrobe, even from her parents and older brother(she might have an older brother XD). Her act can only be kept up for so long as her friend soon discovers her true identity.

DUH DUHN DUHN!!

"Poser"- A teenager in highschool and looked down upon by the students as well as faculty of her school. She is often looked at as a "Poser"; wearing the everyday trends of a "band geek", "skateboarding lamo", or "band posers" as some of their few favorite terms to call her. Headstrong and "screw the school" attitude she waves it off. "Never forgive and always forget". Wears what she wants and is true to her feelings and instincts she finds herself lacking friends because of her "image". Soon enough she finds herself meeting her opposite; a poser of everything cute then everything rad, one who would also be considered a weirdo at her school so insists on hiding her true self.

"Poser Princess"- Leaves off where "Lolita Princess" and "Poser" end. I bet you can't guess what happens? ;)

So yeah...I really love these stories. Although they do sound a little fetchingly familiar to "Nana" and "Othello" they are completely unique all on their own.
My only worry is that people will think of the main character of "Poser" as Nana too much. I'm not worried about the other girl, but the "Poser" girl has the same hairstyle. Nyeah..still working out her character design.
I'm so afraid of copyright infringments ::hides under blankets:: x__x

THE CUTE, THE HOT, & THE SCARY

I made this account to be exclusively for manga.
I wasn't sure for what manga though.
I was creating a theme picture oneday to ask people on deviantart what kind of artwork they would like to see from me; Cute, Hot, or Scary. It was then that I came up with a wierd kinda cool story idea that I thought would be interesting/fun to do for a practice manga.
I'm still working on the story, but I'll try and have the first page or cover picture up soon and I hope you'll all enjoy it. It shall be..um..wierd XD

I think you all will like the characters ;)

oh yeah..and "The Cute, The Hot & The Scary" is the title of the manga ;).
